Billing plans define the subscription options available on Oliver AI. Plans control the monthly price, included AI allowance, seat limit, trial eligibility, and whether the plan is available for self-serve checkout.
A billing plan defines:
- Price -- The subscription cost
- AI allowance -- The included usage allowance for the billing period
- Seat limit -- How many team members the plan supports
- Trial eligibility -- Whether new organizations can start on this plan
- Checkout availability -- Whether the plan is visible for self-serve purchase
Oliver AI is currently optimized around one primary self-serve plan, but the billing model supports future multi-tier pricing.
| Tier | Description | Best For |
|---|
| Starter | Trial-eligible self-serve plan | New organizations evaluating Oliver |
| Growth | Future self-serve upgrade path | Teams with higher allowance needs |
| Custom | Future sales-assisted plan | Larger or specialized organizations |
The exact plans available depend on what Oliver AI administrators have made customer-visible.
- Navigate to Pricing or Subscription.
- The list shows the plans currently available to your organization.
- Each entry displays the plan name, price, AI allowance, and seat limit.
- Select a plan from the available list.
- Click Start Trial or Checkout.
- Complete the Stripe checkout process (see Payments).
- The plan becomes your organization's active billing state on successful payment.
Superadmins can manage trials through the admin dashboard:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Trials.
- Filter organizations by billing state.
- Reset, extend, or end a trial as needed.
- Use these actions sparingly — each organization gets one normal automatic trial.
Consider these factors when selecting a plan:
- Estimate the seat count you need now.
- Leave room for onboarding hires and managers who need access.
- Onboarding period -- New teams often use scraping, knowledge extraction, and practice more heavily.
- Maintenance mode -- Ongoing teams usually stabilize into a predictable usage pattern.
- Training campaigns -- Product launches and methodology rollouts can temporarily increase AI consumption.
After starting a plan:
- Check your current billing state regularly (see Subscription Overview).
- Review usage logs to understand consumption patterns.
- Watch your included AI allowance before you hit the limit.
- Upgrade or contact support before a busy training period if needed.
Note: Plans are the live billing surface. Legacy wallet/package records may still exist internally for historical data, but customer billing now runs through plans and subscriptions.
