When you first create an organization in Oliver AI, the onboarding flow helps you set up both your business context and your company profile. The AI onboarding call creates the editable Business Training Brief. Company setup then captures organization details, website information, products, and training material.
Oliver AI setup performs several steps:
- Builds a Business Training Brief -- New Org Admins can complete a short AI call or text setup about the business, sales motion, goals, objections, and first training priorities.
- Collects company information -- The setup flow asks about your business, industry, products, and target customers.
- Scrapes your website -- If you provide a website URL, the AI analyzes your site content to understand your offerings, value propositions, and market positioning.
- Generates a persona library -- Based on the collected information, Oliver AI creates a library of realistic customer personas that your team will interact with during practice sessions.
- Creates a knowledge base -- Key information from your website and company details is stored so the AI coach can reference it during training.
- After verifying your email, log in as an admin or superadmin.
- If you are a new Org Admin, complete Build Your Training Brief or choose the text setup fallback.
- Continue through the onboarding section or follow the setup wizard prompt.
- The setup flow will ask you a series of questions about your company.
For details on the AI call step, see AI Onboarding Call and Business Training Brief.
When prompted for your website, you can provide:
- A full URL (e.g.,
https://www.yourcompany.com)
- A bare domain (e.g.,
yourcompany.com) -- the system will resolve it automatically
- A company name -- the system will attempt to find your website
Note: The AI uses multiple methods to scrape your website including headless browsers and HTML parsing. If your site has heavy JavaScript rendering, the AI will attempt alternative methods to extract content.
The onboarding process captures and stores:
- Company name and industry
- Products and services offered
- Target audience and market segments
- Value propositions and competitive advantages
- Common customer objections and concerns
- Typical sales processes and cycles
This information is saved to your organization's profile and used across the platform.
After analyzing your business, Oliver AI generates a diverse set of customer personas. Each persona includes:
- Name and background -- Geography-aware names matching your target markets (supporting 15+ regions)
- Company and role -- The persona's company type and decision-making role
- Pain points -- Specific challenges the persona faces that your product addresses
- Buying criteria -- What matters most to this customer when evaluating solutions
- Objections -- Common concerns this persona type would raise during a sales conversation
- Communication style -- How the persona prefers to interact (direct, analytical, collaborative, etc.)
You can update your company information after the initial setup:
- Navigate to your organization settings.
- Edit the company profile fields.
- If you want to re-analyze your website or regenerate personas, use the onboarding tools.
- Provide a comprehensive website -- The more content on your website, the better the AI understands your business.
- Be specific about products -- When the agent asks about products, provide detailed descriptions rather than generic overviews.
- Describe your ideal customer -- The more detail you give about your target audience, the more realistic the generated personas will be.
- List real objections -- Share the actual objections your sales team encounters. This makes practice sessions more valuable.
Warning: The onboarding process may take a few minutes if website scraping is involved. Do not close the browser during this process.
