Practice calls are the core of Oliver AI. In a practice session, you have a realistic sales conversation with an AI-generated customer persona while the AI plays the role of a prospect.
For detailed step-by-step instructions, see Starting a Practice Session.
- Check your prerequisites -- Make sure your email is verified, your organization has products configured, and your organization's trial or subscription allows AI practice.
- Select a product -- Choose a product from your organization's catalog.
- Choose a scenario -- Pick a call type such as cold call, discovery, demo, objection handling, or closing.
- Start the conversation -- The AI customer persona will introduce themselves. Respond naturally as you would in a real sales call.
- End the session -- When the conversation reaches a natural conclusion, end the session.
After you finish, Oliver AI automatically:
- Saves the full conversation transcript
- Generates an AI evaluation of your performance against sales behaviours
- Calculates behaviour scores (1--5 scale, Novice to Expert)
- Records AI usage against your organization's current billing period
- Treat it like a real call -- The more realistic your approach, the better the feedback.
- Try different scenarios -- Vary between cold calls, discovery, demos, and closing.
- Review your evaluations -- Check your scores and feedback after each session to spot patterns.
- Practice regularly -- Aim for a few sessions per week for the fastest improvement.
Note: Each practice session counts against your organization's AI allowance. If you see an access or allowance message, contact your manager or admin to review the subscription.
